The zero class program: Czech language preparatory course for teenagers aged 15-19 from Ukraine

Who can apply:
- Ukrainians aged 15–19
- The required level of Czech is not lower than A1.
- With a temporary protection visa
- With complete secondary education
- Motivated to apply to universities in the Czech Republic

What the course includes:
- 20 hours of classes per week, including:
– 16 hours – Czech language, with integrated topics in history, geography, chemistry and physics
– 4 hours of mathematics, including 1 hour of computer science in the second semester - Tutor and psychologist support
- Access to an online platform for training and testing
- Extracurricular activities (minimum 8 events per course)
To participate you need:
- Passport + temporary protection visa
- Certificate + transcript with grades
- Motivation letter
- Online Czech language test
What the grant covers:
- Full payment of tuition
- Support in adaptation and preparation for admission
Three groups of children are formed according to their level of Czech proficiency, from beginners to advanced. You can take a preliminary test on our website.
How to apply for a grant?
Details and registration are available at the Metropol school office at Nitranská 1459/11, Prague-Vinohrady (metro Jiřího z Podebrad or tram Vinohradská vodárna).

If you do not meet the requirements for a grant, Metropol School offers an alternative program, Zero Class, in the afternoon.
Prepare for admission to educational institutions in the Czech Republic after the 9th or 11th grade.
- Guarantee of obtaining B1 or B2 (according to the selected program).
- The course is accredited by the Ministry of Education. You can take the B1 exam and the B2 state exam directly at our Metropol school.
- If necessary, we conduct specialized training in subjects (mathematics – preparation according to CERMAT standards, English, scientific subjects).
Czech language training course
- Preparation for the B1 exam or the B2 state exam (the exam fee is not included in the course price).
- Preparation for exams in subjects (if you choose to prepare for this subject).
- Assistance in choosing a secondary school or upper secondary school.
- Assistance in choosing a university + submitting applications.
- 24/7 access to Czech language lesson materials, as well as subjects on the online platform.
Czech Language Course Fees:
3 levels per year (from A1 to B1 or from A2 to B2), – classes 3 times a week for 4 academic hours. Price: 6840 CZK/month.
Subject fees::
- Mathematics – 2800 CZK/month
- English – 2800 CZK/month
- Scientific subjects – 2800 CZK/month.
Attention! The indicated price of the subjects is valid only if you are studying in a Czech language course.
Excerpt from the school’s internal rules:
1. Payment for training is made one month in advance.
2. The price of the course is for a group of at least 8 people. If the number of people is less, the School reserves the right to reduce the time of classes without changing the cost of the course.
Sample program for course 0 to B2 inclusive for students entering university.
The intensive course of the Czech language has been compiled on the basis of the state scale of the Czech language levels and the requirements of the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic.
- Comprehensive work on all language skills – listening, reading, speaking, writing – is provided.
- Intermediate tests in the format of state exams and international standards are conducted.
- Active vocabulary – up to 600 units per level is trained.
- It is possible to confirm the language level as well as to prepare and take the state exam for level B2.
The program includes achieving the four language levels from 0 to B2. For the convenience of students, the course is divided into sections on key topics.
- Level A1 + A2 – 12 units
- Level B1 – 20 units
- Level B2 – 10 units

– Yes. Documents required for enrollment in the course: a valid passport (scan or good quality photo of the page with the photo). In accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic, each student must complete a STUDENT FORM
