Elementary language skills – A1

Understanding common expressions and basic phrases, expressions and expressions that we use every day. This is the ability to introduce yourself and someone, ask simple questions as if they were personal. and of a general nature: about yourself, about the place where you live or are, about people you know or want to know, about things, about actions. This is an opportunity to communicate with a person who speaks correctly, clearly, slowly, who wants to help you, who understands your language difficulties.

Elementary Possession – A2

Understand sentences, simple text and frequently used expressions related to areas that are directly important to you: about yourself, your family, friends, shopping, descriptions of places, a city, a specific street, your place of work. The ability to communicate using simple phrases and sentences, to exchange simple information needed in a specific situation. The ability to talk about yourself and your family, your environment and activities, your goals in more detail, the ability to solve everyday issues that reflect your needs.

Self-Owned – B1

Understanding the main ideas of accessible, literary expressions, messages, important for current, commonly used topics that everyone encounters in the classroom, at work, in transport, in public places, including in free time. The ability to resolve issues in most situations that occur during trips, when meeting people while traveling and moving around the Czech Republic. Ability to write simple text on closely related topics, well-known or those of a personal nature. The ability to talk about events and impressions from them, about plans and goals, the ability to briefly and succinctly explain and justify an opinion about a problem and find a solution.

Self-Owned – B2

Unproblematic understanding of the main ideas in highly complex texts covering both concrete and abstract topics. Understanding of professional debates in the subject or a related field. Understanding and the ability to maintain a conversation with native speakers without hesitation or reservations. The ability to conduct dialogues without effort, vocabulary and questions. Ability to write competent, sufficiently complex and profound texts on various topics. The ability to express and justify one’s opinion regarding an important and pressing issue. Ability to present arguments for and against in dialogues, discussions and group debates.

Fluency – C1

High and fluent level of comprehension in a wide range of complex and long texts. The ability to determine the subtext, allegory, hidden, implicit, and implied meaning of the text. The ability to quickly, sharply, without delay and in a timely manner support any conversation without the effort of choosing the right words and expressions. The ability to use language dexterously, vividly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Ability to write very complex, expressive, logically structured, detailed texts with a clear and coherent structure on any topic. The ability to use figures of speech, phraseological units, national and folk proverbs and sayings with knowledge and absolutely appropriately, and to resort to the help of adverbial and participial phrases.

Fluency – C2

The ability to easily and effortlessly understand everything you hear or read. The ability to summarize information from the media and any printed sources, the ability to freely express one’s opinion and convey the opinions of others orally and in writing. The ability to initiate and successfully conduct reasoned debates and arguments, and to logically construct a line of presentation of material in any audience, including professional ones. The ability to quickly and naturally, organically and accurately improvise, communicate on the most complex topics, not get lost and panic in the midst of unforeseen situations and in particularly difficult circumstances. Ability to write a highly complex scientific paper in a professional field, understand issues of the country’s history, be fluent in issues of culture and art, and have knowledge of issues of Czech politics.
